Joseph Minard (January 5, 1932 - January 17, 2022) is a former Democratic member of the West Virginia State Senate. He represented District 12 from 1998 to 2013. Minard resigned in January 2013 to assume the position of the Senate Clerk. He previously served as State Senate President Pro Tempore.[1][2]

Previously, Minard served in the West Virginia State House of Delegates from 1983 to 1990. He served in the West Virginia State Senate from 1990 to 1994 and again from 1998 to the present. Minard is a former president of the Harrison County Catholic School Board.

Minard earned his B.S. from West Virginia University.

Mindard worked in the United States Army Signal Corps. He also worked as a business executive.[3]

Minard died on January 17, 2022.[4]

Joseph Minard was re-elected to the West Virginia State Senate, District 12. He ran unopposed in the May 11 primary. Minard defeated Republican Russ Snyder in the November 2, 2010, general election.[5] [6][7]

On November 7, 2006, Joseph Minard won re-election to the West Virginia State Senate, District 12. He was unopposed.[8]
