Joseph N. Callaway is a federal bankruptcy judge for the Eastern District of North Carolina. He was appointed to the court on January 4, 2016, and his current term will expire on January 3, 2030.[1]
Education
Callaway received both his undergraduate and his J.D. from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in 1980 and 1983, respectively.[1]
Career
Prior to joining the court, Callaway "worked as an attorney (partner) with the law firm of Battle, Winslow, Scott & Wiley, P.A., in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, where he headed the bankruptcy and creditor rights practice."[1]
