Joseph P. Mikitish is a judge of the Maricopa County Superior Court in Arizona. He assumed office in 2013. His current term ends on January 1, 2029.

Mikitish ran for re-election for judge of the Maricopa County Superior Court in Arizona. He won in the retention election on November 5, 2024.

Mikitish was appointed by Gov. Jan Brewer (R) on May 20, 2013, effective June 2013.[1]

Biography

Joseph Mikitish earned his undergraduate from the University of Arizona in 1988 and his J.D. from the University of Arizona Law School in 1991. Prior to his judicial appointment, he worked in the following places and roles:[1]

  • 2001-2013: Arizona Attorney General’s Office
  • 2000-2001: Beshears Muchmore Wallwork
  • 1996-2000: Assistant attorney general, Arizona Attorney General’s Arizona
  • 1992-1996: Fennemore Craig
  • 1991-1992: Law clerk, Arizona Supreme Court
