Joseph Parisi
Joseph Parisi was the Dane County Executive in Wisconsin. Parisi assumed office in 2011. Parisi left office on May 3, 2024.
Parisi ran for re-election for Dane County Executive in Wisconsin. Parisi won in the general election on April 6, 2021.
Parisi is a former Democratic member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing District 48 from 2005 to 2011. Prior to his election to the state Assembly, he served as Dane County clerk from 1996 to 2004.[1]
Biography
Parisi attended Madison College and earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has served as president of the board of directors of the at-risk youth outreach organization Operation Fresh Start and a member of the board of directors of the Goodman Community Center.[1]

Dane County, Wisconsin, held an election for county executive on April 4, 2017. A primary election was scheduled for February 21, 2017. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was January 3, 2017. Incumbent Joseph Parisi ran unopposed in the general election for Dane County Executive.[2]

Parisi was re-elected to Wisconsin State Assembly District 48. He defeated Republican Spencer Zimmerman and Independent Grant Gilbertson in the general election on November 2, 2010. He was unopposed in the September 14, 2010, primary election.[3] |

He also told the League of Women Voters that he would help increase access to affordable housing in the county by extending an existing partnership with the City of Madison to construct supported housing facilities for chronically homeless individuals, working with local nonprofits to develop supported housing for formerly incarcerated individuals and individuals with mental illness, and providing housing assistance services via a new homeless day resource center.[4]
