Joseph Pitre (Republican Party) was a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing Strafford 1. He assumed office on December 7, 2022. He left office on December 4, 2024.

Pitre (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the New Hampshire House of Representatives to represent Strafford 1. He won in the general election on November 8, 2022.

Biography

Pitre served in the United States Air Force from 1964 to 1968 and 1971 to 1977, as well as in the New Hampshire Air National Guard from 1977 to 1984. He earned his B.S. in business from Southern New Hampshire University in 1980. His career experience includes working as a construction business owner and an officer at the Farmington Police Department.[1]

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 13, 2014. Incumbent Rachel Burke and Martin G. Laferte were unopposed in the Democratic primary, while incumbent Joseph Pitre and Joshua Whitehouse were unopposed in the Republican primary. Burke, Laferte, Pitre and Whitehouse faced off in the general election.[6] Republicans Pitre and Whitehouse defeated Burke and Laferte in the general election.[7]
