Joseph R. Sevcik is a magistrate judge of the First District of Iowa. He was appointed to this position in 2006 to serve Black Hawk County.
Education
Sevcik received his undergraduate degree in 1982 from Iowa State University.[1]
Career
Sevcik worked as a staff attorney for Legal Services from 1986 to 1991. He then became an assistant public defender in Waterloo. Since 1996, he has worked as a private practice lawyer.[1]
