Joseph R. Slights III is a vice chancellor on the Delaware Court of Chancery. He was previously a judge on the New Castle County Superior Court in Delaware. He retired from the court in 2012.[1][2][3]
Slights joined a private law firm after his retirement. He then was nominated to Delaware’s Court of Chancery by Gov. Jack Markell in February 2016.[4] The state Senate confirmed him to the bench in March 2016.[5]
Education
Slights received his B.S. cum laude in political science from James Madison University in 1985 and his J.D. from Washington and Lee University School of Law in 1988.
