The candidate filing deadline was February 25, 2016, for candidates filing with signatures. The deadline for candidates using a filing fee to qualify was March 11, 2016.[1]
Incumbent Steve Glazer defeated Joseph Alexander Rubay in the California State Senate District 7 general election.[2][3]
