Joseph Edward Stevens, Jr. (1928-1998) was a federal judge on the Western and the Eastern District Courts of Missouri.

Stevens was nominated simultaneously to both courts by President Ronald Reagan on July 9, 1981, to a seat vacated by William Collinson; he was confirmed by the Senate on September 16, 1981, and received commission two days later. He served as chief judge of the Western District from 1992 until he assumed senior status on both courts on July 1, 1995. He served until his death on December 18, 1998. Stevens was succeeded in this position by Nanette Laughrey.
