Biography

Bouvier received a B.S. from the University of Kentucky, going on to earn his J.D. there as well.[1] He was admitted to the bar in 1976.[2]

Prior to joining the bench, Bouvier served as an assistant district attorney.[3]

The judges of the Kentucky District Courts are elected in nonpartisan elections. They serve four-year terms and must run for re-election if they wish to serve again.[6][7]

Qualifications
To serve on this court, a judge must be:[6]

  • a U.S. citizen;
  • a resident of the represented district for at least two years; and
  • licensed to practice law for at least two years.
