Education of our posterity Josh has a fundamental and simple view of public education: The primary duty and function of the school district entity is to educate ALL our youth to receive sufficient knowledge to make the most well-informed decision as they become legal adults. Whether college, trade school, apprenticeship, or the general workforce - Our intention should be that EM-S students are given a great advantage over that of a school district who simply prefers pictures of students in graduation robes without post-graduation results.
Economic Sustainability Eagle Mountain-Saginaw is growing. That almost goes without saying. Whether you have lived here since Boswell opened in 1961 or you've recently moved here from another state, you see construction moving with a fever-pitch. As a district, we're about 50% grown from our full potential given the amount of land we tax. That means we will double in size. Given this, the plans executed in the next 10 years will have a huge multiplier effect, positive or negative on what we look like 50 years from now. Part of what we need that we don't have now is a commercial component to easier support the building of schools that we will need in the near and distant future. Should you elect Josh as your next trustee, he will aggressively network with business enterprises, corporations, and entrepreneurial efforts to translate those tax revenues into schools to sustain our continued growth. |
