I am a regular transit rider and I have over 10 years of experience as a transportation professional in Omaha. I have personally contributed to many transit initiatives in the area. My family and I are proud to make the Millard area our home.
  • The rider should always come first. Our transit system should be reliable, on time, and get you where you need to be. Vehicles and facilities should be properly cared for, functional, and kept clean.
  • Getting to transit should be safe and barrier free. Whether you’re driving, walking, or rolling our transit system should be accessible to everyone, including seniors and riders with disabilities.
  • Our transit authority should continue to grow their investment in technology that benefits the rider. They should leverage partnerships with local governments, businesses, and other organizations.
I want to work within the Transit Authority and with local partners to help alleviate barriers to public transportation for everyone, including our seniors and riders with disabilities.

We need to identify sustainable ways to improve connectivity and access in our region. We need to ensure that the Transit Authority can attract and retain the hardworking drivers, mechanics and other staff that serve our region.

Limited funding for transit will make it impossible to grow. Per capita the Omaha region currently spends significantly less on transit than our peer cities. I want to work towards a responsible funding level that can sustain our public transportation system into the future.
Public transportation is an essential service. Elected members of the transit board need to lay the foundation for a sustainable system that serves the needs of their district and the region. They need to ensure that transit is a viable and attractive option for their constituents.
My first job was bagging groceries at the Baker's Supermarket on 132nd and Center. I learned a lot about taking care of people and what it means to provide a service. This was before I was driving so I also learned what it was like to navigate our city without a car.
