Josh Earnest
Josh Earnest was the White House Press Secretary under the Obama administration. He was appointed by President Barack Obama on May 30, 2014, following the resignation of Jay Carney.[1]
Earnest previously served as Obama's communications director in Iowa during his first presidential bid.[2]
Biography
Earnest was born in Kansas City, Missouri, and he graduated from Rice University with a degree in political science and policy studies.[2] He previously worked on campaigns for Houston, Texas, Mayor Lee Brown and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg. He was also the spokesperson for the Democratic National Committee.[3]
