Born on Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point, Josh Kohr has been a lifelong Havelock resident. In the spring of 2022, Josh met the love of his life, Dr. Hannah Mayfield Kohr. They were married on July 4, 2023. Josh has been in management and is a published orchestral composer.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Committed to transparency and efficiency at the Register of Deeds, I prioritize fiscal responsibility, streamlined processes, digital accessibility, and embracing limited government principles. As we near four years since the start of COVID-19, the Register of Deeds office has yet to resume fully normal operations. I assure you that my administration will not impose prolonged lockdowns on the office, prioritizing a return to normalcy for accessible and efficient public service.
