Campaign themes

2014

Anderson's campaign website highlighted the following issues:[1]

Protect and Invest In Kirtland and Sandia

  • Expert: "Kirtland and Sandia are two of the biggest economic drivers in New Mexico, and are extremely vital to our national security. Many Kirtland and Sandia employees and contractors live right here in our community. As your state representative, I will work closely with our federal delegation to protect and invest in Kirtland and Sandia."

Fighting for Those who Protect our Freedom

  • Expert: "As your state representative, I will always fight for those who have served. I will work tirelessly for veterans’ healthcare, job opportunities, small business assistance and other support they deserve when they return home."

Investing in our Children

  • Expert: "We owe it to educators to listen to their concerns and implement changes that will translate into a classroom setting and prove effective for our children. I want to help foster the relationship among teachers, administrators, parents, and children to build the high quality education system our children deserve."

Central Avenue Corridor

  • Expert: "I believe the best way to invest in our economy is to grow and help small businesses. We spend millions of dollars in incentives every single year for corporations that are established and extremely profitable — corporations that pick up and leave when the incentives run out. It is time we take those incentives and invest them in local small and medium-sized businesses to help them succeed."
