Josh Stowers
Josh Stowers (b. January 1, 1979) is a former Democratic member of the West Virginia House of Delegates, representing District 22. He was first elected to the chamber in 2008.
On July 8, 2013, Stowers announced that he would be leaving the West Virginia House of Delegates to take a position in the West Virginia Treasurer's office, effective July 15, 2013.[1][2][3]
Biography
Stowers earned his B.S. from Concord College. He went on to receive his M.A. from Marshall University. Stowers is an Assistant Principal.[4]

Elections
2012
Stowers won re-election in the 2012 election for West Virginia House of Delegates, District 22. Stowers and Jeff Eldridge defeated Bill Bryant, Ed Triplett, and Gloria Triplett in the May 8 primary election. He was challenged by Jeff Eldridge, Gary Johngrass, and Michel Moffatt in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[5][6][7]
2010
Stowers was re-elected to the West Virginia House of Delegates District 19. He was one of six candidates running for the four District 19 Delegate positions on the ballot in the November 2, 2010, general election. He defeated Democrats Ted Ellis, David Eplin, Harry Freeman, A. Jay Hatfield, Gary L. Johngrass, Teddy Toblin and Ed Triplett in the May 11 primary. His opponents in the general election were Republicans Elias Gregory and Chad Story; Democratic incumbents Greg Butcher and Ralph Rodighiero, and Democrat Rupert Phillips, Jr. The four top vote-getters were elected.[8][9][10]
2008
In 2008 Stowers was elected to the West Virginia House District 19. Stowers (D) finished with 13,846 votes. He was second only to Greg Butcher (D) who had 16,828 votes. Stowers was ahead of Jeff Eldridge (D) with 13,511 votes and Ralph Rodighiero (D) with 13,381 votes.[11] Stowers raised $26,895 for his campaign fund.[12]
