Josh Vergiels lives with his wife Alex in Kosciusko County, just outside of Warsaw, Indiana. Josh graduated from Trine University in 2009 with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. The majority of his career has been spent in the medical device industry as an Engineer and Project Manager. His wide variety of hobbies and interests have led him to participate in numerous community groups and events during his time in Warsaw.
  • Every dollar raised in taxes is one less dollar Hoosier families have to save, invest, or just make ends meet. Taxation has a dramatic effect on Hoosiers and should be treated with the appropriate level of respect.
  • Government institutions are meant to serve their citizens and should have the highest level of transparency and accountability.
  • The government is neither nanny nor physician and should let individual Hoosiers decide what is best for them and their families.
Josh is deeply concerned with the impact of fiscal policy on the lives of citizens. Bad fiscal policy drives all manner of perverse and harmful incentive whose knock-on effects diminish quality of life. He believes sound fiscal policy can minimize the burden on Hoosier families and remove the barriers that prevent them from succeeding.
