On my campaign trail, I met a single mother. She was worked two jobs to support her three children and had always managed to provide a stable home for them. Recently, however, she faced a rent increase and that threatened her ability to keep a roof over their head.

The mother spoke passionately about her fear of being homeless and the stress it was causing her family. She explained how difficult it had become to make ends meet with these expenses, despite her best efforts to budget and save. Her story was heartbreaking, yet all to common among residents of district 99.

Inspired by that mother story, I promised to make stop rent increase a top priority in my campaign.
