Baldwin provided the following statement for the Washington general election voters pamphlet:
| “ |
Joshua Baldwin has the distinctive experience of having represented the people of Cowlitz County as a Deputy Prosecutor, with the Office of Public Defense, and in private practice. During the past 11 years, he has spent the majority of his career in public service, employed by the county handling hundreds of criminal cases in local courts. He has represented people in divorce and child custody cases, parents and children in foster care, and people dealing with the civil court system. In his time in the courtroom, Mr. Baldwin has handled a number of significant jury trials, including some of the most serious crimes committed in Cowlitz County. Through it all, he has maintained a reputation of integrity and civility with the attorneys he worked against and the law enforcement officers involved. “I have always said to clients that it pays to be the most reasonable person in the room. I plan to take that general principle of fairness and reason to the bench to serve my community as Superior Court Judge.”[1][2] |
