Joshua Barker
Joshua J. Barker is a former Democratic member of the West Virginia House of Delegates, representing District 22 from 2013 to 2014. He was appointed to the chamber on August 1, 2013 to replace Josh Stowers (D), who resigned to take a job in the office of the West Virginia Treasurer.[1][2]
Biography
Barker attended Marshall University and Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College.[3]

Elections
2014
Elections for the West Virginia House of Delegates took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 13, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was January 25, 2014. District 22 is represented by two delegates. Incumbent Jeff Eldridge and Gary McCallister defeated incumbent Joshua Barker in the Democratic primary. McCallister defeated Barker by one vote in a recount. Michel Moffatt and Justin Mullins were unopposed in the Republican primary. Eldridge and Moffatt defeated McCallister and Mullins in the general election.[4][5]
Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
