I am currently a full-time college student at Guilford Technical Community College majoring in Political Science, with a previous Associates degree in Computer Engineering Technology from Forsyth Technical Community College, and a Certification in High Level Biocontainment from the University of Nebraska. I grew up in a family that included multiple generations of farmers, who I helped with chores such as harvesting crops as a child, giving me a hands-on appreciation for local agriculture. I've also worked as a technician in charge of testing water quality for a construction company, from which I gained direct experience with the subject of how clean water is truly defined and the work necessary to maintain it.
  • Protecting our natural resources is a vital mission of our society, especially for the sake of future generations
  • Small family farms in Guilford County need our support to continue existing
  • We must plan for the impacts of climate change now, before it's too late
I'm passionate about the protection of our environment and supporting small farmers.
My passion for the protection of the environment, understanding of water chemistry, and personal history with farmers from within my own family as I grew up are all qualities that contribute towards making me an ideal candidate for County Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor.
I hope to leave a cleaner environment for our future generations than they're born into currently and the continued existence of small-scale family farmers.
Poverty was a struggle for my family growing up. Then as an adult I have previously dealt with being on crutches for around two years, following an assault with a deadly weapon at work while preventing an attempted theft.
