"I truly believe that when you strengthen the people of our communities, you strengthen the city! I've always stood by this and it will be something I pass along to my son, Phoenix."

Being Independent, Josh believes in common sense policies based in fiscal conservativeness and social/humanitarian rights. His priorities include keeping families together and strengthening the dynamic again, finding solutions for the unsheltered population and issues facing them, and creating smarter/cleaner transportation and infrastructure options. He is also passionate about building better relationships between law enforcement and the people and finding better, more effective ways of policing all of our communities.

There are great videos on my website at ItsTimePhoenix.com where I talk with everyday people to celebrities about issues affecting all of us and ways we can better our government.
Leadership. Integrity. Trustworthy. Loyal. Friendly. Honest. Humble. Kind.
I've been "working" or preparing to work, since the age of 7. Two days a week, I would wake up extra early before school and help my neighbor on his newspaper delivery routes. My job was to remove the old newspapers from the bins and replace them the new ones for the day! A few years later, this led me to selling papers in front of grocery stores for a couple of years. I definitely understand the value of a dollar and working hard at an early age to get what you want, with the money you earn.
I actually have two; The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein and The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. The Givng Tree is so simple yet, it illustrates the circle of life and can be appreciated by all ages for different reasons. And, the Alchemist because, like for so many other people, changed my perception on life and what each of us can do with it.
This means that our mayor should be the face of the city and a true reflection of the people they represent. They should always lead from the front, not the back and face challenges head first. A mayor should be a mayor for ALL of their citizens, not just the ones who voted for them and they should be visible in their community.
To actively listen to the council members, the people in the city and the city manager to create the best fiscal and social policy and culture as possible.
The opportunities to create the best situation for yourself and for your family. And, this is only possible because of the great people who live here!
