Campaign themes

2016

Clark's campaign website highlighted the following issues:

Joshua Clark Knows Business: Joshua earned an Economics degree from the School of Business at the University of Dayton in 2000. After graduation he moved to St. Louis for a seven-year period, to work in the industrial tooling and welding supply industry. He has practical experience in sales, sales management, and has developed business experience from fifteen years in this market sector. Currently he works in computerized tooling, robotics, and controlled automation.

Joshua Clark On Education: Joshua Clark knows that every child deserves equal access to a high level of education no matter where they happen to live in this district or this state. That access should include making sure that kids whose life path may not include going to college, still have a path that promotes life skills applicability. Joshua with the Franklinton Board of Trade and Central Ohio building trades, has started a coalition between the labor, business, and education communities. Its purpose is to start with dialogue and collaboration between all these entities to see how they can all work together to build an education system that presents economic opportunity for Ohio’s children in the future.

Joshua Clark Cares About The Economy: Joshua Clark is cognizant of the fact that a consumer based economy needs consumers with disposable income to be successful and will fight for a living wage for working residents in Ohio. Joshua Clark knows access to livable wage jobs are the economic engine for all successful communities. Economically successful communities are dependent on education to provide individuals that are able to fill modern jobs for a modern and ever-changing economy.

The Safety of our Communities: We want safe streets so that we can enjoy everything that is great about the 18th district, the parks, the walkways, the bike trails, the entertainment and so much more. Our safety forces should have adequate resources to receive the best training and continued training we can offer.[2]
