I'm a 26 year old truck driver. I've been to 48 states as a truck driver. I've worked since I was 15, & I come from an entirely working class family. I've been married since I was 19. I've experienced so many hardships in my life & the government has often done more harm than help for me. I want to represent the interests of the working class, & only the working class.
  • I want to address the housing crisis with serious policies like Federal rent control & socially owned housing.

  • I want to guarantee healthcare to every person in this country as a basic human right.

  • I want to end the wars & modernize our infrastructure with green energy & quality public transportation.
Climate change is my number one issue. Healthcare, housing, disability & social security, wages, ending the wars, & LGBTQ+ issues.
Bernie Sanders, AOC, Ilhan Omar, & Rashida Tlaib. They fight for the people.
I'm uncorruptible. I do what's right, even when it's not convenient. I represent the working class & only the working class. I have compassion for people. I know what it's like to struggle to pay bills. I know what it's like to have a job that over-works you & underpays you. I know what it's like to have your safety be an afterthought in your workplace.
To represent the working class people in their district & in this country, & to actually fight for their needs, not for corporations & the very wealthy. And to do so, even when it's not politically convenient.
I want to inspire more young people & more regular working class people to run for office & to get involved in politics. I want to create a new path for them to succeed. And I want to show people that it doesn't have to be this way, that we can have representatives who actually represent us, & not the rich & large corporations.
I was in 2nd grade when 9/11 happened. I remember my teacher wheeling in a TV with the news on & how scared everyone was. I also remember how everyone believed the media & supported the beginning of more never-ending war.
Bagging groceries at Albertson's for $7.25/hr. I had it for about 8 months before I found a job that paid $8.25/hr.
When I was a kid, I liked the Eragon series & the Series of Unfortunate Events. Not sure why I liked them. They were just exciting to read.
Boss B*tch by Doja Cat, because it's used on TikTok a lot
I was in a bad car accident when I was younger, that prevented me from joining the military to pay for my college. I've also been laid off by jobs with little to no advance notice. I'm also autistic, which can make some things harder, like public speaking & socializing in loud environments.
They have the ability to perform Congressional inquiries & help people if they have trouble with Medicare, Social Security or veterans benefits, the IRS, & immigration situations.
No. I think prior experience can be a bad thing. Career politicians are usually disconnected from the people. They forget what it's like to live as a working class person in this country.
Dealing with the Coronavirus situation, making sure that the working class doesn't get screwed over by it. The 08 economic crisis exacerbated wealth inequality. The marginalized communities became more marginalized. The rich got richer & the poor got poorer. I don't want to see that happen again.
Environment, veterans, energy & commerce, agriculture, education & labor, small business & entrepreneurship, ways & means, natural resources.
Yes. It makes it so representatives have to defend their decisions in Congress more frequently.
I would support them, though I think the priority should be getting big money out of politics.
I like how Bernie Sanders was, especially in his earlier years.
A woman named Annie. She got cancer, & her insurance company wouldn't cover the treatment her doctor recommended. This caused her cancer to get worse, reducing her life expectancy to 15 years. Then, her insurance company charged her some small fees without proper notification, & they cancelled her insurance over $14. Her cancer metastasized & she now has 1-2 years to live. There are hundreds of thousands of stories like that with health insurance companies.
