Joshua D. Sanders
Joshua D. Sanders is a judge of the New Jersey Vicinage 5 Superior Court. He assumed office in 2021. His current term ends in 2028.

He was appointed to the court in 2021 by Gov. Phil Murphy (D). He will face reappointment in 2028, and if reconfirmed, he may serve on the court until he reaches the mandatory retirement age of 70.[1]
Biography
Sanders is the first Native American to serve in the New Jersey Judiciary. He received his J.D. from the New York Law School in 2003. He began his legal career as an associate attorney with Jackson Lewis, LLP. He then joined the Office of the Public Defender as a trial attorney in the Hudson Region, later working in the Appellate Section before being appointed to the bench.[2]
