I’ll serve in Annapolis just like I serve as a teacher in our public schools each and every day. I’ll do my own homework on every issue – learning more by listening directly to the people rather than lobbyists or corporate donors. As a delegate, I will amplify the voices of our most vulnerable community members, empowering all of us Marylanders to create a better future together.
  • We need to do more to make sure our kids have a bright future in a green, affordable Maryland.
  • The state government needs to make Maryland a leader in environmental protection and the elimination of plastics and other waste.
  • We need to do a lot more to make Montgomery County affordable for all residents. Too many children in Montgomery County can’t afford to live where they’ve grown up.

I’m a public school teacher and I’m running for office because the pandemic has made it more clear than ever how our state and national government are not fully serving our kids, to help Maryland better confront the climate crisis and to help keep my county and state affordable and livable for future generations. As a queer, low-income, first-generation college student, I lived first hand the positive effects of good government through a solid public school education and financial support for my college education. As a teacher, I’ve seen how our state government is not doing enough to support our kids inside and outside of the classroom, preventing them from reaching their full potential–and even from feeling safe in school.
