Joshua Epel
Joshua Epel is a former member of the Colorado Public Utilities Commission (PUC), the state body charged with regulating the state's utility companies. He was first appointed as chairman of the PUC by Governor John Hickenlooper (D) in January 2011 and reappointed in 2014. He resigned from the commission on January 1, 2017.[1][2][3]
Biography
Before joining the PUC, Epel was assistant general counsel at DCP Midstream, overseeing environmental, public health and safety matters. He was appointed to the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, serving as chair. He has also worked at Gablehouse and Epel, served as the acting special attorney general to the Colorado Department of Transportation, environmental counsel for several Colorado municipalities and represented the state as a member of the Regional Air Quality Council and the Grand Canyon visibility Transport Commission.[1]
