I have resided in Sampson County, NC for the entirety of my life. I love North Carolina and believe that it is the best state to live in as it has a little bit of everything: small towns, big cities, beaches, and mountains.

I have a passion for serving my country, which pushed me to enlist in the military. I served as an Intelligence Analyst and Mental Health Specialist in both the NC Army National Guard and the US Army Reserves between 2013 and 2022. I chose to separate from the military to focus on my education and to have more time with my family, including my 5-year-old daughter.

I have served in multiple roles across NC over the past 8 years including the Dept of Public Safety, Dept of Justice, Dept of Transportation, and other local human services agencies. I currently hold a Masters degree in Human Services and will graduate from Liberty University with my second Masters degree in Spring 2024 in American Legal Studies.

I have always felt that progress on important issues has been stifled by elected officials prioritizing the interests of big money donors. I am running for office to get big money out of politics and to give the Power back to the People.
  • I will support legislation that strengthens and protects social security and medicare beneifts for North Carolinians.
  • I will support legislation that eliminates the NC State Income Tax to increase the take-home pay for all North Carolinians.
  • I will support legislation that eliminates the sales tax on all grocery items and prescription drugs within the State of North Carolina.
Eliminating State Income Taxes

Eliminating Sales Tax for Grocery Items and Prescription Drugs
Protecting Social Security and Medicare
Increasing Teacher Pay to a minimum of $50,000
Ensure Affordable Insulin and Drug Prices for all North Carolinians
Legalize & Tax Marijuana and Use the Funding to Improve Impoverished Communities
Reinstating Child Tax Credit
Ensure all North Carolinians have Paid Family Leave
Eliminate "no-fail" or "no-zero" policies across all public schools
Protect the civil rights of members of the LGBTQ+ community
Codify Roe v. Wade into law on a State Level
Prohibit anyone in North Carolina from serving more than 20 years in any municipal, local, or state office
Suspends the sentences of anyone incarcerated for non-violent drug offenses related to marijuana
Prohibits the purchasing, trading, or selling of stocks or bonds by any elected official in the State of North Carolina.

Mandatory Firearm Background Checks prior to all sales across North Carolina
John F Kennedy - He worked hard during his time in office to end needless wars and ensure peace.

Robert F Kennedy Jr - He fights for transparency in government and questions authority.

Franklin Delanor Roosevelt - He supported labor movements and unions.

The first responsibility is to fight for your promises to your voters.

The second responsibility is to work in a bipartisan effort to ensure effective and meaningful legislation is passed.

The their responsibility is to always be honest with your constituency.
I would like to leave a legacy of positivity and change. I want the lagacy of my leadership to show that I made a difference and improved my community.
United States Army (NC National Guard and Army Reserves) - 9 years
My favorite book is the "I Love My Dad" book that my daughter got me for Father's Day.
I would want to be Spider-Man. He is a down-to-earth hero who works hard to save people's lives and improve his community.
I struggled with my parents divorcing at a young age and my father married multiple times after the divorce.
Legislatures should only have a professional relationship with the Governor of the State. The legislature should work with the Governor to negotiate legislation and argue for and against it's behalf. A legislature should not allow a personal relationship with the Governor, if it exists, to interfere with his or her ability to fight for the needs and desires of their constituents.

Holding Elected Officials Accountable
I do not believe that is neccessary. Experience is great; however, passion is what is needed for success. A legislature with passion will seek and find the information they need and ensure experts are in place to aide their decision making.
Absolutely! It is important to build relationships with other legislators so that you can work together to resolve the issues of your consituents. It is also important to work across the aisle with legislators to further bipartisanship.
On a federal level, I believe Congressman Jeff Jackson is someone I would like to model myself after. He is very knowledgeable and is down to earth when explaining information to his constituents.
Yes, that would interest me in the future. However, I intend to work for the people of NC as long as I can.
What do you call an alligator investigator? An Investigator.
The legislature should have the ability to oversee emergency powers on behalf of the Governor; however, there will likely be times when that is not necessary or required.
I would propose legislation that eliminates sales tax on grocery items and prescription drugs.
