Joshua Hawkes
Joshua Hawkes is a judge of the Second Circuit Court of Florida. Governor Ron DeSantis (R) appointed Hawkes to the court on September 23, 2020, effective November 5, 2020, to replace Judge Robert E. Long Jr..[1]
Education
Hawkes received his bachelor's from the U.S. Naval Academy in 2003. He also earned a graduate degree in nuclear engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a J.D. from Florida State University.[1]
Career
Hawkes practiced law as an associate and business litigation lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP. He has also served as a law clerk to Judge Stephanie Williams Ray, as a commander in the Navy Judge Advocate General's Corps, and as an active-duty naval officer.[1]
