Lover of humanity, the human spirit and concerned about the suffocating nature of centralized systems of government power and control in society. I am a 36 year old Colorado native who attended Heritage High School in Littleton. I have been driving for Uber Eats and Instacart delivery services the last five years. Before that I worked for about 11 years at Shepherd of the Hills church and school, performing maintenance.

My goal, passion and premise of the campaign is to be part of the solution and contribute to two questions that are facing humanity. I will reiterate and expand on this in the questionnaire.

What is the key or first step to a freer, prosperous, and more harmonious society?
How do we cut through the polarization and division?
  • By understanding and respecting that people are different and want to organize differently. Focusing more of our time and energy in our local communities at the county and city levels. Rather than far off and disconnected federal and state governments, localization. Localization. When neighbors are focused on what is more controllable with governments and associations locally those people and communities are more motivated and are self-interested to collaborate, have spirited purposeful discourse, find common ground, strike acceptable reasonable compromise and overall unleash individuals and communities ability to maximize their right to self-determination.
  • Leadership: One of the key elements of leadership is communication, and half of communication is listening. As a leader, knowing that I don’t know everything. The principal focus in my candidacy for County Commissioner and leadership is to listen with the goal of facilitating that localization to foster individuals and the community to lead the way in Arapahoe County. The other half of communication is speaking. In order to serve Arapahoe County, I will voice some of my values and put forth some ideas to stimulate and initiate localization. My values in life that I am focusing on in this campaign are smaller and simplified systems of government, and that requires an open process.
  • Two Ideas for Arapahoe County: 1. One Dollar County Taxes and fees: Setting property taxes to one-dollar, as well as reducing other county taxes, and fees to one-dollar. Cutting taxes and fees will open up free market innovations, competition, and choices. Those functions that are still in need of a county controlled monopoly can remain to be made available, with less waste of tax money and more efficiently.
Second idea: Arapahoe County Open Space program along with the 32,000 acres of open space, trailheads and parks except for the Arapahoe County fairgrounds be returned to the Northern Arapaho Tribe of the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming under the framework of a leasing agreement or other contract language that is compatible with any current laws of the state or federal governments. For the purpose of management and maintenance of the open space land.
I have been inspired by a few people and it encourages me to be the best I can be. Politically: 1) Adam Kokesh: The philosophical grounding, the orator of the message of freedom, and the confidence in how he lives his life. 2) Dr. Ron Paul: The door to intellectual curiosity, how to diagnose a problem, and integrity that he opened for me. 3) Scott Horton: The importance of studying history and world politics and events. 4) Vermin Supreme: Having a good sense of humor. 5) Russell Means: The importance of indigenous people and history.

History: 1) Patrick Henry, Robert Yates, and Mercy Otis Warren were the intellectual and spirited orators of the American Revolution, and opposition to the creation of the federal government. 2) Lao Tzu: starting to read some of the Taoist and ancient Chinese books as they were some of the first libertarians. 3) Lysander Spooner: beautiful writer, and how he put his principles to work. 4) King Ragnarr loðbrók

Misc: 1) Tupac: his raw honest and genuine way that he lived his life and spoke about everything that he cared about. 2) Bob Marley: Marley was the natural embodiment of what libertarianism is about.
A few books:

1) Lysander Spooner: Selected Works of a Libertarian Hero edited by Stephen Reuel
2) Freedom by Adam Kokesh
3) America's Counter-Revolution The Constitution Revisited by SHELDON RICHMAN
4) The Anti-federalist Papers
5) History of the Rise, Progress, and Termination of the American Revolution: All Three Volumes – Complete with Notes by Mercy Otis Warren
6) Brehon Laws: The Ancient Wisdom of Ireland by Jo Kerrigan

Leadership, The three components of leadership are 1. Communication: listening to others and verbalizing your own thoughts and goals. 2. Facilitate: process in how everything is done and to keep processes open. 3. Initiate: Put forward ideas and thoughts to create discussion and action.
Knowing what I don’t know. Knowing that is why it is important to have intellectual humility and listen to connect with the people in Arapahoe County.
The beauty of a freer society, especially when we may not know what a “free society” will ultimately look like.
Maintenance, and custodial at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church and School for eleven and a half years.
Fox Mulder, and King Ragnarr loðbrók (again even though I stand by the idea that he was a real person)
Going along to get along, and not speaking or doing what’s on my mind and some Procrastination on life.
Libertarian Party of Colorado, and Libertarian Party of Arapahoe County. See what more comes up with questionnaires and surveys.
My overarching principle is that power is always dangerous. It attracts the worst, and corrupts the best. That is why centralized power must be dismantled.

I am a 35 year old Colorado native who is concerned about the future of freedom freedom. Uber-eats driver the last three years and seeing empty buildings and the struggling business that remain. I know the economy is not healthy, taxes especially property taxes are too high and need to be greatly reduced and is a sore spot for overreaching government bureaucracies and monopoly control over services. Prior to that eleven and a half years working maintenance and custodial at a church and school.
  • Understanding that taxation destroys, and punishes prosperity. Just as how income taxes destroys, and punishes production. Property taxes destroys, and punishes ownership, and makes it harder for young, and migrating people to achieve, and prosper as well punishes long standing residents from true ownership.
  • Solution, start by assessing one-dollar property taxes across the board, and go from there as the people of Arapahoe County are able, and willing. By phasing out property taxes the services that the county has grown dependent on being provided by taxing people’s achievements, and ownership to go through a transition. Phasing out property taxes will open up free market innovations, competition, and choices. Those services that are still in need of some county control monopoly distribution can continue to be made available efficiently, and with less waste of tax money as long as the people deem it, or until free market voluntary means are desired, and capable.
  • The current system of assessment, and valuing property in Arapahoe County is also a great destruction of Liberty when properties are assessed higher for the sole corrupt purpose of raising taxes to fund monopolized government bureaucracies. The county government should have no say in the value of property. Real-estate agencies, owners, and prospective buyers are the proper proprietors of the value of property in the County.
Lastly, to see the benefits of the phasing out property taxes, and corrupt government bureaucracy systems. 1) Everyone gets an immediate pay raise. 2) The cost of living, and housing gets much needed stabilization. 3) Businesses get much needed economic relief after almost three years of punishing conditions. 4) Arapahoe County can achieve harmonizing growth, and be liberated from some of the government stranglehold.
