Joshua Overfelt is the Place 2 representative on the San Felipe Del Rio Consolidated Independent School District board of trustees in Texas. Overfelt sought another term in the general election on May 7, 2016. He was unopposed in the election and maintained his seat on the board.[1]

Four of the seven seats on the San Felipe Del Rio Consolidated Independent School District school board were up for general election on May 7, 2016. Place 2 incumbent Joshua Overfelt and Place 7 Amy Haynes filed for re-election, while Charles "Chuck" Garabedian did not file for re-election in Place 6. Overfelt ran unopposed for re-election and Haynes faced challenger Guadalupe BuenRostro Jr. Abelardo Casillas and Diana Gonzales were running to replace Garabedian. There was a special election for the Place 1 seat vacated by Fernando Quiz. Candidates Pedro DeHoyos, Michael Mog, and Ken Smith filed in the race.[2][3]

Smith defeated Mog and DeHoyos to win the open seat in Place 1. Haynes defeated BuenRostro Jr. to maintain her Place 7 incumbency and Overfelt was automatically re-elected to Place 2 due to lack of opposition. In Place 6 Gonzales defeated Casillas to win a seat on the board.[4]

Overfelt reported no contributions or expenditures to the Texas Ethics Commission as of April 20, 2016.[5]
