Campaign website

O'Neil's campaign website stated the following:

Restore Law & Order

I am running for Congress to restore integrity, justice, and morality in America. America is under attack by woke liberals’ intent on defunding the police and jeopardizing the average America. On day one, I will restore law and order. I will protect the right to peacefully assemble while maintaining law and order. I will support law enforcement and emergency service providers. Our communities are overwhelmingly safer with police than without, and defunding, dissolving, or drastically reorganizing our police forces in a deceptive manner is not the answer. Our first responders deserve our support and respect. They protect us, now it’s time for us to protect them.

Keep Spending In Check

Tax and Spend liberals in DC and Sacramento are putting our kids and grandkids in debt forever. Instead of making the tough decisions, Mike Levin has supported raising your taxes to fund Nancy Pelosi’s out of touch spending. Here in California the state has argued that being open about spending is “an undue burden”, while reaching a 54-billion-dollar budget deficit. I agree with President Reagan who believed we were not in debt due to a lack of taxation but rather reckless, and I would add unaccountable, spending. California democrats are obsessed with spending their way out of problems. But a visit to any major Californian city would demonstrate the failure of that line of thinking. I will work to keep government spending in check. Lower taxes, smaller government is what we need, not more government spending.

Keeping America Safe

Defending America on the front lines in Iraq and remaining involved in the fight against terrorism for many years, I know firsthand the importance of the United States across the world. I will make it my priority to ensure our armed forces have the funding and resources to keep America safe. The way democrats withdrew from Afghanistan was a failure of the highest degree, and one which I witnessed firsthand. I was ashamed to see the abandonment of our allies, equipment, weaponry, and thousands of individuals to whom life and liberty had been promised. I will make sure for my part, that we are never privy to this type of betrayal again. America is not the world’s police force. I will fight to make sure that we deploy our troops only when necessary.

Crime, Drugs, & Human Trafficking

California is experiencing an unprecedented rise in violent crime and narcotics related violence. The disaster areas we now call our major cities, are the direct result of democratic policies and the negative portrayal of law enforcement by politicians. Human Trafficking is a tremendous issue which deserves our full attention and aggression. I will fight to bring these issues to the forefront and deal with them appropriately.[2]
