The Journal Committee is a standing committee of the Wyoming State Senate.

Per the Senate Rules, committees of the Wyoming State Senate are assigned by the President of the Senate.[1] A majority of appointed members make up a committee's quorum.[2] The President is not recognized as an ex officio member of any committee.

Function

According to the Senate portion of the Combined Rules:

The Journal Committee shall meet each day prior to the convening of the Senate, for the purpose of examining the Journal of the previous day. They shall report to the President their recommendation thereto.[3][4]
