Campaign themes

2014

Delepine's website highlighted the following campaign themes:[1]

Immigration

  • Excerpt: "I want to see a better life for our struggling Americans. Turning a blind eye to illegal immigration is damaging to Americans and the economy as well as to our national security. Our focus should not be on the hardships of the thousands of illegal immigrants crossing our borders daily but on protecting our citizens and making sure our laws and our sovereignty is secure."

Government Waste of Tax Dollars

  • Excerpt: "Joy opposes government waste of tax dollars. She is not opposed to new programs. We must find ways to cut wasteful spending before embarking on any new spending initiatives."

Parental Rights

  • Excerpt: "Joy believes the rights of parents and the family supercede the rights of the state when it comes to raising children. Joy will oppose any laws that infringe upon the rights of parents."

Property Rights

  • Excerpt: "Joy opposes the One Bay Area plan which essentially takes away the rights of property owners. Joy will strongly defend property rights and ensure the preservation of Prop. 13."
