Joy Goff-Marcil
Joy Goff-Marcil (Democratic Party) was a member of the Florida House of Representatives, representing District 30. She assumed office on November 6, 2018. She left office on November 8, 2022.
Goff-Marcil ran for election to the Orange County Board of County Commissioners to represent District 5 in Florida. She lost in the primary on August 20, 2024.
Biography
Goff-Marcil was born on June 23, 1968 in Orlando, Florida. Goff-Marcil attended Lake Sybelia Elementary, Maitland Junior High, and Winter Park High School. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and a Juris Doctor from the Stetson University College of Law and has been an active member of the Florida Bar Association since 1993.[1]
Goff-Marcil previously served for six years on the Maitland City Council and was elected as vice mayor in 2017.[1]
