I’ve been an Assistant Public Defender for over 25 years. I’ve lived in Central Florida all of my life and in Orange County for over 24 years. I have been very involved in the community, including being a Girl Scout Leader for 8 years. My husband and I are also small business owners in Orange County as we own a Planet Smoothie Franchise. Both my children graduated from Holy Family and Bishop Moore.
  • If elected judge, I will always remember to show empathy and compassion for the people that come before me. I know that most of the time, having to go to court can be an intimidating process and I will always give everyone an opportunity to be heard.
  • I will always try to work with members of the community to resolve any underlying issues that may be causing people to return to the court system.
  • I will use my experience as a Public Defender to effectively manage the docket and keep cases moving forward so as to avoid unnecessary delays.
I am passionate about trying to do everything we can to help people and working together as a community to make our community stronger.
The most important characteristic for an elected official is to be able to relate to the people they are serving.
The core responsibility of a judge is to be fair. They must be able to apply the law, show compassion, and use problem solving skills.
I would like to show people that if you set your mind to it, you can make a positive difference in our community no matter where you come from. I was raised by a single mother who at times had to work three jobs. I worked my way through high school, college, and law school. I’ve never given up on my dream of being a judge and being able to help the people in our community.
I worked at McDonalds all four years I was in high school.
I’ve always wanted to be a judge and now that I’ve acquired the experience that I believe is necessary I wanted to run for this position.
The greatest opportunity for the legal system in Florida is to apply the numerous community resources that are available to help as many people as possible.
No. I am only interested in serving in the trial courts where I can interact with the people of our community on a daily basis.
