Juan M. Escobar
Juan M. Escobar was the judge for the Kleberg County Court in Texas.[1] He was elected to the position in 2010.[2][3] He was defeated in his bid for re-election on November 4, 2014, and stepped down when his term expired that December.[4]

Escobar ran for re-election to the Kleberg County Court.
Primary: He was successful in the Democratic primary on March 4, 2014, receiving 53.4 percent of the vote. He competed against Pete De La Garza.
General: He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 43.2 percent of the vote. He competed against Rudy Madrid.

Escobar won the Democratic primary for the Kleberg County Court, receiving 51.6% of the vote. He was elected after running unopposed.[3][7]
Education
Escobar earned a B.S. in biology from the University of Texas-Pan American in 1978.[8]
Military service
Escobar served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1969 to 1973.[8] He is a Vietnam veteran.[9]
