Juan Rodriguez was the campaign manager for U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris' (D-Calif.) 2020 presidential campaign. Rodriguez managed Harris' 2016 Senate campaign and served as senior advisor and interim chief of staff while she was attorney general of California.

Career

Rodriguez began his political career working on a school board election in 2003. He later interned for former Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa (D) and served as his director of state relations from 2009 until 2013.

In 2013, Rodriguez was hired as senior advisor to California Attorney General Harris, a position he held until 2015. In 2014, he served as her interim chief of staff. In 2015, Harris asked Rodriguez to manage her 2016 U.S. Senate campaign. He also served as a senior advisor on Gov. Gavin Newsom's (D-Calif.) 2018 gubernatorial campaign.

Rodriguez became a partner at SCRB Strategies in 2017.

He received a B.A. in political science from the University of California, Los Angeles, and an M.B.A. from Pepperdine University.
