Villegas' campaign website included the following statement:
“ |
As an Orange County Law Enforcement Officer for the past 26 years, Educator, and Santa Ana resident, I have personally seen the alarming rise of gang related crime, homelessness and the decline of Santa Ana's infrastructure over the last four years. It is time to change Santa Ana's leadership, so together we can bring back community policing and work on long-term solutions to end homelessness and revitalize business. Working hand-and-hand with Business and Public Safety, will strengthen the economic infra-structure and make the neighborhoods, safe again leading to a stronger Santa Ana. My commitment is to serve our city faithfully, with transparency and integrity.[5] |
