Judge Berger appointed to Florida's 5th District Court of Appeal

Florida: On Aug. 21, 2012, Judge Wendy W. Berger was appointed to Florida's Fifth District Court of Appeal by Gov. Rick Scott. Berger has been a judge of the 7th Circuit Court since 2005. She will replace retired Judge David Monaco on the Court of Appeal.
Gov. Scott stated, "Judge Berger’s varied experience and abiding commitment to judicial restraint make her exceptionally well qualified for the appellate bench." Berger will have to face election to a full term in 2014 if she wishes to remain on the court.[1][2]
