Judge Clancy Smith appointed to Court of Criminal Appeals

Oklahoma: Judge Clancy Smith, of the Tulsa County District Court (District 14), was appointed on July 13, 2010 to the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals. James Edmondson, Chief Justice of the Oklahoma Supreme Court, made the appointment. Judge Smith, who has been a judge for 16 years, will replace the retired Judge Charles Chapel on the Court of Criminal Appeals on September 1, 2010. She will face a retention election in 2012. The Court of Criminal Appeals is the highest criminal court in the state.[1]
