Washington, D.C.: Mary Murguia was confirmed by the U.S. Senate to the United States Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit on December 22nd. She was first nominated to this position on March 25, 2010 to replace Senior Judge Michael D. Hawkins. She is 50 years old. Previously, she was a judge for the United States District Court for the District of Arizona, beginning in 2000.[1] [2]
