Judge Ozzi sworn in as Court of Claims judge

Staten Island, New York: A swearing-in ceremony was held for Judge Wayne Ozzi, who was appointed a state Court of Claims judge. A former principal law clerk for Surrogate Robert Gigante, Ozzi had run for Civil Court judge in 1991, but lost the race. He was already hearing cases in Manhattan as an acting Supreme Court justice when he was appointed to his new judgeship by Gov. Paterson.[1]
