Judge Stern temporarily appointed to New Jersey Supreme Court

New Jersey: Judge Edwin Stern, of the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division, has been temporarily appointed to the New Jersey Supreme Court. He replaces former Justice Wallace, who was removed from the court by the Governor earlier in the year. Chief Justice Stuart Rabner made the temporary appointment. Judge Stern will return to the Appellate Court once a permanent replacement is selected to fill the vacancy.
Judge Stern has been a judge since 1981, when he was appointed to the Hudson County Superior Court. He also served in the Essex County Superior Court before he was promoted to the Appellate Division in 1985. He has been the Presiding Judge for Administration of this division since June 1, 2004.[1]
