Judge Vampola applies for Court of Appeals

Lincoln, Nebraska: Dodge County Court Judge Kenneth Vampola was one of six judges who submitted applications last week for appointment to the Nebraska Court of Appeals in Nebraska'a Third Judicial District.[1] Vampola who resides in Arlington, Nebraska, is joined by Mark Johnson of Norfolk, Stephen Kay of North Platte and Susan Anderson, Francie Riedmann, and James Smith, all residing in Omaha, Nebraska[1] in applying for the appointment.
The vacancy in the Court came as a result of the appointment of William Cassel to the Nebraska Supreme Court.[1]
The Third Judicial District completely incluces Antelope, Boone, Boyd, Burt, Cedar, Cuming, Dakota, Dixon, Dodge, Holt, Knox, Madison, Pierce, Platte, Stanton, Thurston, Washington, Wayne, and Wheeler counties, and portions of Douglas and Sarpy counties.[1]
A public hearing of the Judicial Nominating Commission will be held at 10 a.m. on June 14, 2012 in the District Courtroom of the Platte County Courthouse.[1]
