December 13, 2010
Las Vegas, Nevada: Judge Warren R. Van Landschoot will not seek a fourth term on the North Las Vegas Municipal Court, where he now serves. He will retire in June of 2011. The 65-year-old judge who has served on this court since 1997 stated, "I'll let somebody else come in and have some fun." Prior to joining the court he worked for the North Las Vegas Police Department beginning in 1969. He became a detective in 1978 and worked on homicide cases from 1979 until his judicial election. Catherine Ramsey, a North Las Vegas deputy city attorney, plans to run for Van Landschoot's seat.[1]
