Louisiana: Judge William J. Crain will run for the seat of retiring judge Burrell Carter this November. Crain hopes to join the Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeal in District 3, and serve Division D.

Judge Crain has served on the 22nd District Court since 2008. He believes himself well-suited for the appellate court, saying, "My experience and qualifications have prepared me to handle the challenges and difficulties of such a diverse and expansive docket."[1]

The filing deadline for the November 6th election is not until August 17th.[2]
