Maryland: Judge John Addison Howard of Maryland's Eighth Circuit Court, ordered that Felicia "Snoop" Pearson, an actress from the show The Wire, be held without bail on March 11, 2011. This was the first court appearance of Pearson since she was charged with conspiracy to distribute heroin. The actress claimed "I have no money" when accused of helping to bankroll a suspected drug organization. Judge Howard claimed the reason he denied her bail was her popularity. “You are a good actress. ...Everybody knows your name. People change names...you can change your appearance," the judge explained to her. The charges were part of a large-scale drug raid of 39 different locations by over 450 law enforcement officers on March 10, 2011 which brought in many suspects to the Circuit Court.[1]
