Cleveland, Ohio: Cuyahoga County Common Pleas judges, Bridget M. McCafferty and Steven J. Terry were arrested on September 15, 2010 and face corruption charges from the federal government. McCafferty was accused of lying to law enforcement and giving "special consideration" to certain parties in a case. Terry faces charges of "conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud" for conspiring with County Auditor Frank Russo. Both judges have pleaded not guilty and are fighting the charges in court. Meanwhile, they have been disqualified from hearing cases on the court.[1]

Two retired judges will fill-in on the Court of Common Pleas through December 26, 2010. William J. Coyne will hear cases for McCafferty and R. Patrick Kelly will hear cases for Terry.[2]
