Judges retained in Tennessee's August election
August 9, 2012
Tennessee: Voters gave their stamp of approval to two of Governor Bill Haslam's judicial appointees on August 2nd. Judges Jeff Bivins and Roger A. Page were retained by almost an exact percentage of voters, receiving 71.15% and 7.16%, respectively. Both Bivins and Page were appointed by the governor in 2011, and faced their first retention vote to the court.[1]
Judge Bivins joined the court last August, after serving on the Twenty First Circuit Court for six years. He was appointed to that court in 2005, and elected without opposition in 2006.
Judge Page was appointed in December, after serving on the Twenty Sixth Circuit Court from 1998 to 2011.
